I have no idea what to do with my hair for my junior prom (coming up in less than 2 weeks). I want something flowing, elegant, and "sexy messy" (think Keira Knightly or Eva Mendes) - but also something different yet not too "out there."
I have a heart shaped face and very fair skin (shown below) and my dress is Stone Blue in color, with an dramatic/romantic "mood" (also shown below) so I would like my hair to have the same "effect." I hope everyone knows what I'm trying to say...lol {^.^}

That is a really pretty dress!
I think that you should wear your hair up in a messy bun/ponytail, and have a few loose strands surrounding the ponytail/bun (which ever you do) and then have a few strands of hairs out of your hairdo. so that it looks full. also you have long hair, so you can put the ponytail sorotf o the side adn if you have bangs let them flow along the side or have then twisted upwards to the side and clip them with a beaeutiful clip that matches the color of your dress.Also, you could try a nice ribbon, that doesnt stand out too much, and add a few curls with the headband. You have two weeks to just try things out, take pictures with the hairstyles and then decide one to wear and add a few details to it! :) Have fun!

I would go with a very large ceramic iron or large rollers. If you do the rollers put them in vertically, not horizontally and use sections slighly thinner than the width of the roller. When putting the rollers in near the top don't wind them all the way to the root or you will be really poofy. After removing the rollers, spray a bit of (see link below) on your hands and starting at the ends run fingers thru your hair to smooth curls, remove frizz and get the messier but controlled look you desire. I would play around with your hair a couple times before prom. If you would rather, go to a salon with a pic in hand of what you want. Ask around to friends and relatives for referrals of a stylist they know that does awesome updos and styling. Good luck ! And have fun. You look beautiful in that dress ! Since your hair is straight, try something different. Go with nice full curls (not tight, not a small iron or rollers, hot rollers would work).
If you are going to do it yourself, be sure to spray your hair with a light hold spray before you roll it in an iron or rollers. Hot rollers hold the curl better. Then, take them out, separate with your fingers and style. You can put it half up and leave the rest out.
You could also wear it all up. Same idea with the curls but pin it all up leaving the curls on the top of your head and a few loose ones.

You have very nice hair..Id wash it condition it and let it flow..its gorgeous! Lean your head over and comb it forward and then let it fly back and then brush it..it gives you natural fluff and looks very sexy and cool.

The dress is very nice. I think sexy messy curls would suit you beautifully. but thats only me saying this and you should really ask your friends or a beauty salon lady. Just try to relax about the hair thing and have FUN. Good luck!

Maybe if you just use a large curling iron and made kind of wavy, loose curls? Classy and elegant you know? And you wouldn't have to pay for a hairdresser!

you could put it in a loose curly bun, with some hair hanging down with cute pins pulling some hair back , or you could put it in a half pony with cute pins
