I am not black but I can tell you I love this girls hair:

If you like it I suggest to take it to a hairstylist and ask her what you need to do to get it!

This girls hair is fun too:

i say your best bet is to ask your stylist, if you don't have one then check to see if there is a salon near by that is just for African Americans, they will know what to do help you out. They may even give you samples (or you good ask if they have any samples) for you to try so you don't have to buy a huge bottle of something and find out it doens't work for you. Just ask around.

Good luck

Get braids a week before prom!

Start looking at braid books now, and ask around about a good braiding salon.

I agree with braids...I think it looks so amazing, almost like a brilliant piece of art! Of course, if you're not in the mood to get your hair braided, I'd suggest moisturizing your hair...here's a previous link with some great suggestions:

I highly recommend olive oil as well. It's very light and super moisturizing! I smooth a few drops through the ends of my hair during winter months when the air is very dry. It makes my hair sooooo soft. You can use olive oil on your skin, cuticles...it's a wonderful product that's not meant for JUST cooking and salads. HTH!!!

Just get a haircut. Then you can start some nice waves.
