straiten your hair completely then put in 3 to 4 curls big and wide and put hair spray in it and put the Claire's sparkle spray in your hair also that looks really cute and it is easy to do

if you go to the mall look at a stylist book because they work really well and you can sleep in it.

go to the hairdresser and look at the books they usually have a formal section and some are pretty up to date. idk how she did it but my brothers girlfriends hair for prom was gorgeous she had it all on top of her head in millions of little hoop things.heres some cool pictures of various styles too:
