Someone suggested that for prom this year, we have someone nominated to be given a makeover for prom. Meaning, we would buy the chosen girl a prom dress, prom shoes, get her hair nails and makeup done, the whole shebang. Would that be a nice thing to do, or would it come off as being mean?
Would it be mean to nominate a student for a Prom Makeover?
if the reason was because they deserved it because they did well in school or achieved something then yes...if it is because you think she is not good looking enough then thats a horrible thing and will make her feel terrible.
Would it be mean to nominate a student for a Prom Makeover?
depends on the reason behind the whole idea.
Would it be mean to nominate a student for a Prom Makeover?
oooh. toughie.
id say, it would depend on how she takes it. if you nominate a girl with super low confidence self esteem, shell problyfeel pretty crappy about it, but i think shell also want it secretly?
or if you nominate someone like, this person wins a prom makeoverr! and make it seem random and she wins you know, getting her nails, makeup done ect. ect.
Would it be mean to nominate a student for a Prom Makeover?
No, that is mean. Prom is to be memorable, and 10 years from now, people will look back on it as a non-traditional, bordering on malicious event. Please don't mess up your prom on gimmicks like that.

The person nominated for a prom makeover should be someone who cannot afford going otherwise.
