Prom is coming... any advice?

ok since the theme is midnight in paris, you want to go for a bold, hot look rather than a summery look when it comes to makeup. i suggest:

1. close an eye and pull the outer edge of your eye far out with one finger[dont do it too hard] using black pencil eyeliner, draw a line right above your eyelashes. try to do this without having to retract. then either use a smudger on the end of the eyeliner pencil and gently smudge the line you made to make it look more natural. then use some liquid eyeliner[not black, and preferably metallic] and repeat this step ABOVE the line you have already made. then, pull down your lower eyelid, and draw a line using black pencil eyeliner on the edge[kinda around the corner from your eyelashes and to your eye] repeat all these steps with your other eye.

2. use mascara[preferably brown or black and volumizing] and using the wand, start from the roots of your upper eyelashes and work your way gently to the tips, wiggling it side to side while you do this. then using the tip of the mascara wand without putting it into the tube again, brush the tip along your lower lashes side to side.

3. dab a little lotion[non-greasy] onto your cheeks and forehead. if you have acne or anything you want to conceal, use a little bit of concealer[that matches your skin color] on that spot. Use a dark pink blush[don't worry it wont show as dark as it seems] onto the apples of your cheeks, which you can find by smiling like crazy[they're the part of your cheeks that stick up a little near your cheekbones]. if you think it stands out too much, use your fingers and gently rub it on your cheeks.

4. bend your lips a little inward, and apply some chapstick or lipbalm to shape your lips into a nice pout, but not too full. then using lipliner or the tip of your lipstick[i recommend a dark pink or a deep-ish red]. try not to make a mistake. then fill in the color onto your lips. Use some non-sticky lip gloss and gently smooth it over the lipstick.

5. a classic french manicure.

For your skin:

1. when you wash your face, use gentle shower gel.

2. drink a lot of water to keep your face clear of acne, especially in the morning, try to keep a habit of drinking a cup of water before breakfast[it seems too simple to be true, but it really helps]

3. use a little lotion every night. do NOT use a lot.

4. baby lotion or baby oil keeps your skin unbelievably soft. its cheap, a sensitive solution[most of the time] and it works well.

hair[this can come out very elegantly]:

1. shoulder length or long hair: one inch curls parted down a little to the side and straight side bangs

2. long hair: loose bun hair brushed back [use styling hair spray to keep it in place. keep a one centimeter "thick" strand hanging loose on either one or both sides of your face. or side bangs.

3. no childish bangs.

4. if your hair is very long, straight side bangs and a straight high ponytail. a simple but elegant barette would complete this look

5. short hair: straighten it. take a little hair from the front part of your head and pull it back. clip with a nice elegant clip.

Feet:

1. soak your feet in warm water for 5-10 minutes.

2. clip toenails until very short, if not already. paint toenails a clear color. lather a little non-greasy lotion onto feet.

Prom is coming... any advice?

for you makeup go to sephora and tell them your theme and maybe any colors you were considering (i would suggest charcoal, a deep purple, or a dark blue -- something shimmery) they'll do the makeup on you there and you can decide if you like it and purchase the product and do it on yourself for the dance.

for your feet: get a pedicure and wear cute shoes

for you skin: exfoliate with a loofah and use Quench lotion by Olay

for your hair: i'd get it done professionally

acne:dermatologist?

Prom is coming... any advice?

*Use Clearasil until your prom and on the same day

*Do your makeup according to your dress color.

*Up-do's are really cute and useful if you like to dance a lot!

*Use lots of lotion from now until prom night to be extra soft

*Pedicur always looks nice on feet for your toenails. Also a cute toering maybe.

**Hope i helped!

Prom is coming... any advice?

try using a face cleanser and don't use too much makeup before the prom becouse it can irritate your face, about your feet try using some feet lotion and paint your toenails a clear

1. keep your skin clean by eating less chocolate, being less stressed out, and using one of those over the counter acne fighting creams

2. get your makeup done at one of those makeup counters, like MAC or Sephora. tell them the theme, and they usually do a good job too (sometimes even for free)!

3. Make an appointment at a local hair salon, and tell them what you're wearing. they'll have a good idea what will look good.

4. perfect baby soft skin-- unfortunately, unless you're a baby, it's not quite possible. but you can get close to it by keeping your skin moisturized with lotions.

5. feet= manicure!! best excuse to get one ;)

have fun!

I loved my prom! I had a Hawaiian theme!!

Skin: use a gentle cleanser, dove or ivory soap, Noxzema cleanser, a face wash geared to your skin type

Makeup: natural looking is always best, a nice foundation, a gentle pink for your lips, and for the Paris theme, maybe some dark blue or purple to accent your eyes

Hair: depends on your hair and face and your dress, if you have curls, embrace them with a semi-updo, pin them up with a nice jewelled clip, straight hair looks nice in a french twist or even a braid

Baby-softness: i have a friend who bathes with baby oil in the water, maybe you can try this

Feet: keep nails clipped, maybe a pretty polish, use a lotion to keep them soft, use a file to smooth away calluses

Have a wonderful and magical night!

You can dramatically improve the look of your skin by using a face wash( not soap), Use a toner, and then a very light moisturizer. Use a gentle exfoilator once or twice a week as well. If you are prone to blemishes, a clarifiying mask will help as well.( I really like the Clinique line or Mary Kay)

If your hair is long enough to wear up, maybe a french roll or an up-do with some soft tendril curls framing your face.(very romantic)

For your feet- a pumice stone to smooth the rough spots and a good moisturizer to soften. Do this as you go to bed,and really lather on the moisturizer, then slip on a pair of cotton socks!

With your makeup; play up your best feature and keep the rest more subtle.Eg. if your eyes are where you want the focus, use more dramatic colors on them and maybe just a light dusting of blush, and a tinted lipgloss.(don;t forget to put a pressed powder compact in your purse to touch up a shiny nose or forhead during the course of the evening

Finish off with a french manicure and pedicure and you will be all set for the big night!!! Have fun!!

Okay, here's my advice.

1. For skin, keep doing whatever it is you do for your facial routine. Changing a lot of stuff now can make your skin worse instead of better. The only thing I would suggest is that you get a benzoyl peroxide stick to treat actual pimples that may appear between today and Saturday.

2. Since the theme is a glamorous one, I suggest going with a smokey eye look and a less obvious lip and cheek. You should ideally only play up one area on your face, because playing up everything just looks like too much makeup. If you feel that smokey eyes are not for you, or if your mouth is a much better feature, then go with a really great, darker lipstick, and do a more regular eye, just in dress up colors (black instead of brown liner and mascara, etc...)

3. Updo, absolutely. You can do a fancy, high ponytail with wispies around the face and at the back of the neck, or, even better, a chignon with some wispies. But definitely wear it up. If you are going to go have it done by a pro on Saturday, ask which one he or she recommends.

4. Perfect baby soft skin is easy. Exfoliate your whole body, and put a good moisturizing body lotion on everywhere. Since today is Monday, I would say you can exfoliate at least twice, maybe even three times before Saturday. If you wear perfume, try and find a lotion that either matches the scent, or compliments it. Bath and Body Works has a lot of yummy scents, and a lot of them are available as both a lotion and a spray scent. When you exfoliate, be sure to pay extra attention to elbows, hands, knees, and feet, as those areas tend to be dry. Slather on the lotion even on days when you don't exfoliate. I am guessing your skin is already pretty soft since you are young, so just be sure to not do anything to get you all scratched up between now and then (no playing in the rose bushes!)

5. Footsies should be pedicured. Take the time to really exfoliate your feet well, and do the lotion routine on them, as well. Then, on Friday, either give yourself a pedicure or have someone do one for you. I say do it on Friday so that if you paint your toenails messily, you have plenty of time to clean up the extra polish. If your feet are extra rough, try using a foot file, and then putting lotion on your feet and sleeping with socks on. Your feet may not be as soft as possible by Saturday, but they should look really nice. And for pedicure color, either pick something that looks good with your dress, or go for a neutral, like off white or light beige.

Well, I hope you have a super great time! Don't forget to have some blotting papers, a compact, a lipstick and lipgloss in your handbag on Saturday. Gum or mints are also good, but don't chomp on your gum.

Prom is coming... any advice?

* use a soft facil srub to keep your face clean but also to keep it from getting dry

*make up just go sparly with silver and white and make it big

*i feel that having your hair down is the most elegant way to wear it and paris is beautiful and that is what i remember about it

*i love johnson and johnson baby lotin it makes skin soooo soft and it smells like a baby, trust me on this that is nothing better then this. i haved tried it on all of my friends and they all love it

*paint you toe nails and makes sure you take a bath before you go

...... good luck and don't forget money for pictures
