Hair extension help!?
i don't think clip ins will work for that hair style...
there's different kinds you can get, but they all cost more money.. you can get them glued in, fused in, sewn in... bunch of options.. call your local hair salons and see what they suggest for you.

Hair extension help!?
hi i'm a hairdresser...
2 types of hair...human and symthetic..general rule is avoid symthetic hair uness ur names barbie...
3 methods
clip in - these are strips of hair which clip into place... usually come in human hair. can look natural...and r cheaper..鎷?6.99 per strip from sallys hair %26amp; beauty..u need around 3 strips per person. i wore these b4 i had mine put in permanently...no1 guessed they werent my hair (pics if u wanna see)
glue/bonded - either strips of hair glued to ur own...can cause damage by pulling @ the hair. and bonded extensions are strands of extensions with a keratin bond on and is applied to ur own hair by heating the bond and bonding it to strands of ur own hair - again these can cause damage by pulling on the hair (ala victoria beckham - she had bald spots from her extensions).
also the chemicals used to remove them can damage ur scalp.
they cost more average price of 鎷?00-500. also u need to be careful of what shampoos i use as certain ingredients can weaken the glue or bonds.
weave/sewn - ur own hair is braided, strips of hair sewn in. no chemicals, no heat...less likely to cause damage - only time it does is when the braids r pull 2 tight...or uneven tension...but u kno when ur hairs pulled too tight so u can let the stylist kno @ the time so it wont cause damage. also it gives hair a chance to grow as its not being exposed to things like daily wear n tare etc.
and u dont need to change ur shampoo tht u use. and its cheaper...鎷?20 ish.
me personally, i have the weave in method..and altho am trained in hair extensions - the bonded method i dont agree with it. (i got pics if u wanna see)
email me if u got ne more q's!
Hair extension help!?
I have fine hair and I wear clip-in extensions. You really can't see the difference in hair thickness with extensions. The things that give away extensions are:
1. Shine. If the extensions are a lot shinier than your natural hair, it is SO obvious. You can use shine serum or shine spray on your natural hair to help blend it in.
2. Texture. Texture is not so much about thickness as it is wave (or lack thereof). The extensions must be just as straight or curly as your own hair. If you can't match it perfectly, it is better to have them just a little curlier than your hair since naturally the ends of your hair are curlier than your roots.
3. Color. You need to match the color well, which is hard if you have highlights. If you can't get extensions exact, it's better to go a little lighter than darker. Hair is naturally lighter at the ends than at the root, so extensions slightly darker than your hair might look unnatural.
FYI: Clip Ins are uncomfortable worn in an up-do. Maybe you could try clipping them in sideways so they don't pull backwards as much. Also, if your hair is not already long enough, when you pull it back you might be able to see the clips on the sides.
You will figure something out. GO FOR THE EXTENSIONS!
I got mine on ebay. They are human hair, so I can color-straighten-curl them just like my own hair.
